   I just about flipped when I first saw this ring. The picture does not do it justice. In the picture, the ring looks more short and squat and rounded with a flatter stone and very dark filigree. In reality, the ring is a tad higher and more airy underneath but not raised enough to get in the way or appear too open-the stone is above and flush against the setting. The filigree is dark enough to look very antiquey and is so intricately done. Unfortunately, most of the gorgeous side detail cannot be seen in the picture! In short, this ring is FABULOUS! I brought it in to work and passed it around the meeting table which resulted in my needing to order one for one of my co-workers. This ring looks like white gold. The stone is large and a beautiful color. It has a lovely “Victorian meets Art Deco” flair to it. I’m hard to please, and I heard myself say, “Wow!” out loud when I first opened the box. I haven’t been this pleased with a purchase in some time. What a bargain at $44.00. I was looking for it in other colors too, since I’m so thrilled to have it (can you tell?)…maybe the company will consider looking into other stones (like sapphire) for this or a similar setting, so I can have more of these. I was surprised to find that the ring was still in stock when I went in to order another for my co-worker. If there were more pictures from different angles, there’s no doubt this ring would no longer be available due to high demand. The ring came with a hand-written “thank you” and a piece of candy-icing on a beautiful cake.
